Sclerotherapy procedure is the removal of medium and large capillaries, as well as small and medium spider veins by injecting various liquids. Enlarged capillaries are damaged blood vessels which have no function in the nutrition of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, and their removal does not compromise circulation. Also, dilated capillaries in the skin are just a cosmetic problem, very rarely they can give you a burning sensation or pain in the skin.

Sclerotherapy procedure consists of the injection of the active substance in the blood vessel with a needle that has a smaller diameter than the diameter of the blood vessel. During the operation, the patient feels no pain, and very rarely has a burning sensation.
